Introducing Pickled Monkey
Pickled Monkey is a popular brewery in Sydney, known for its delicious beers and unique branding. Established in 2018, the brewery has gained a strong following in the local market. Now, Pickled Monkey is expanding its operations by building its own brewery. This will provide customers with the opportunity to taste the full range of Pickled Monkey beers.
After five years of contract brewing, Pickled Monkey is excited to bring its beer production in-house. The company is constructing an amazing new home which will serve as the headquarters for the brewery.
We are not just building a brewery, we are building a spacious, welcoming and entertaining destination where we will also brew our beer. The centre of our design philosophy has been to open a venue that will provide an engaging experience, in addition to housing our own beer production. Pickled Monkey has been looking for a home for the past couple of years and we have found the perfect place where we are building our new headquarters.

Pickled Monkey Brewing aims to become one of the top breweries in Sydney. We have designed everything in Pickled Monkey around the offering at the brewery and making sure that this will be what makes the Monkey stand out from any other brewery in Australia. We are dedicated to providing a warm and inviting atmosphere where everyone feels welcome. Our food and drink options cater to all tastes, including those with special dietary requirements.
Our brewery will offer an exceptional experience that is unparalleled in the area. Our taproom, with an American sports bar feel, will be a destination of choice for beer enthusiasts and casual visitors alike in the inner west. We aim to showcase our brand and beers while also raising awareness of Pickled Monkey.
We are proud to offer a great hospitality experience that will keep people coming back for more. Our venue can accommodate intimate to large groups, and we also offer a private dining room that can be booked for meetings, parties, and private dinners. Our chef is excited about the private dining room and can't wait to create unforgettable dining experiences.
This is something that other breweries in the area cannot do. We will have the flexibility to cater for all types of functions from major birthday parties, product launches, wedding receptions or any other event.
And, importantly, we have a long term lease and several renewal options over the venue, coupled with the first right of refusal purchase option, guaranteeing a security of tenure for our venue, which is rare for such a venue in the Inner West of Sydney.
The Pickled Monkey expansion
The brewery will be completed in early 2024. The brew kit has arrived and we cannot wait to get it commissioned and brewing in our new headquarters. The venue will give the Monkey a home, somewhere people can gather. It will be a hub for beer lovers and an unmatched hangout to enjoy distinctive dining experiences and all of Pickled Monkey’s beer.
We have some amazing ideas and will be home to as many different live sporting events being shown on one of the many big screens.
Our ambitious plans with the kitchen and menu are fairly unique and the best way to describe this is that we will be more in the style of a “gastro” pub than a regular kitchen. Our Chef will be exploring a lot of different styles of food as well as weekly specials.
Pickled Monkey plans to be the first hatted kitchen in a brewery in the country, so you can see why we are excited to share with you what the kitchen will be presenting. This is a large goal to set however, we are confident in our experience and what the customer wants and is missing.
This will be a destination for not only craft beer lovers but for the foodies among us. It will be a NOT-to-miss brewery destination.
The new headquarters
The brewery will be housed downstairs letting people see and smell the beer as it is being made. The ground floor will seat 100, also have an outdoor beer garden and a Pizza kitchen, called the Italian Gringo, serving pizzas and protein tacos. Upstairs will have seating for 200 with a full kitchen and bistro, as well as a private dining room that will seat 24. The venue will have an American sports bar vibe that makes everyone feel welcome.
With DJ’s pumping out some great tunes over the weekends, it will be a venue that will keep you coming back for more.

Why we're raising
We are currently seeking investment to finalise the construction of our brewery and establish a strong community of investors who share our belief in our brand. With the funds raised, our goal is to differentiate ourselves from our competitors not only in marketing and branding but also in the quality of our food and beer offerings.
The venue will be the catalyst for our brand and will help us gain support for everyone that visits the brewery. Our major focus for the 1st year will be to become the best brewery in Australia and a MUST visit destination for beer lovers.
We will invest in solar panels to maximise energy efficiency. Additionally, we will equip our brewer with the latest testing equipment and other necessary tools to ensure the highest quality beer and an easier brewing process.
Our aim is to provide our investors with a tangible stake in our brewery and its success. We are committed to expanding and growing our beer company in the years ahead.
At a time when other breweries are struggling to stay open and going into administration, we are excited as we are opening a venue-lead brewery. This is the way ahead in Australia and having the solid foundation of the headquarters will let us concentrate on building a brand and pushing our beer as far and wide as we can.
