Who is goPassport

goPassport is an end to end real-time traveller compliance system to restart and future proof international cross-border travel. The platform solves the complexity of compliance for the traveller, provides visibility and predictability for the industry and government.

goPassport Australia is a technology company led by infectious disease and border control expertise and has developed a platform to support the opening and future proofing of inbound international travel. 

In March 2020 at the outset of Covid, goPassport identified the complex world that travellers would have to face in the future. They have since developed a deep set of tools to unravel complexity, guide travellers and ensure that their compliance with Government Health Policy is "visible". Ultimately allowing permission for the traveller to enter the destination country, but also guiding the traveller and providing assurance for a risk-managed return journey.

The backbone of the company’s technology is a trusted end to end real-time platform which ensures safe international travel. The goPassport consortium brings together three proven technology products to fast-track the delivery of an agile management platform. The core tech is Minimum Viable Product (MVP) ready,with a highly skilled team of developers following extensive, product requirements and peerreviewed product process.

Highlights

  • Speed to Market. Using existing proven technology's combined with the advantage of early-stage development at the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020. Competitor’s products have been developed recently and have far less capable in functionality (e.g. digital covid vaccine certificates)
  • Deeper functionality than thin competitors - Complete end-to-end risk travel itinerary management through guiding and monitoring of Government border health policy requirements including testing, vaccinations, visas, flight risk, quarantining, contact tracing and multi-use traveller management.
  • Market validation. Technology trials with the Cruise (CLIO), Inbound travel (ATEC) and education industries (EAE) and commercially with organisations such as Flight Centre, with engagement in process for a roadmap to commercial transactions in August 2021 onwards.
  • Government Acceptance. Significant engagement with Federal and State agencies, indicating strong need for the goPassport technology and its role in assisting industry and travellers in the reopening of borders
  • Attractive potential revenue and profit expectations. Revenue model based on user pays included in the itinerary service item via travel partner channels. Based on an Australian market model 21,000 travellers in FY22 yield revenue of $3M growing to $17M in FY24 – with significant potential upside in overseas markets through adoption of the goPassport technology
  • Many potential exit avenues. Go Passport’s technology is likely to be attractive to companies in the travel, life sciences and AI industries.
