Better That is an online marketplace with a big difference – we’re BETTER.

This isn’t hype. We are flipping retail on its head, changing the way people can buy and sell, removing all the unnecessary costs to purchase and creating a more efficient ecommerce platform.

RETAILERS are jumping on board, because they can support causes that matter to their shoppers, and never need to miss a sales opportunity again. And drop auctions move stock and maintain brand equity - without going on ‘sale’. 

GOOD CAUSES are at the heart of Better That. On every transaction, we give Good Causes up to 25% and a minimum of 10% of our net sales commission. This is GOOD for everyone; and it is a SMART CUSTOMER ACQUISITION AND RETENTION strategy with better ROI than the others.

There’s a real problem for consumers and retailers. Pricing information and shipping costs are 2 of the top frustration points for consumers, and contribute to the high rate (70%) of shopping cart abandonment.

There is good market opportunity. Ecommerce sales in Australia in 2020 had a value of AUD38.8 billion. They are projected to increase at 8% current value CAGR to reach AUD55.8 billion in 2025.

Good Causes is a game-changing differentiator. It generates sales: 82% of Australians already give to good causes and 87% of consumers say they would purchase a product because it advocated for a cause they cared about. It lowers acquisition costs: Good Causes have a network reach of more than 19,000,000 Australian adults.

What We Do, Differently

Retailers and Good Causes can join our platform at no cost. With over 340 retailers and Good Causes with over 3 million donors on board, we have critical mass already.

Our Retailers and Good Causes are incentivised to help the platform grow rapidly through our dedicated Partner Affiliate Programs.

And with our soon to be introduced inverse Drop Auction technology, a retailer will be able to initiate an auction in which multiple shoppers compete to buy.

Today’s online shopping experience is fragmented, cluttered and inefficient, for both retailers and shoppers. To find one another and complete a successful transaction is time consuming, costly and far more difficult than it needs to be.

Shoppers battle to find the exact product they’re seeking, consistently and accurately described, delivered as they need it, and at a price they’re comfortable with.

Retailers face rising marketing costs and few options to dynamically price their goods in real time and based on demand. They’re caught in a perpetual cycle of fixed percentage discounting to move stock and abandoned carts – both of which harms margins and brand equity.
